The BKDP is ready for constructive cooperation
The BKDP leader Alexander Yaroshuk intends shortly or within the next few days to have a meeting with the newly appointed Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus Mr.Vladimir Potupchik.
“As is well known, that in recent years, serious problems existed in the relationship between the Congress and other social partners both at national level and at the company level. As a result, the situation in the sphere of trade union rights observance in became a focus of constant attention and discussions in various international institutions including the International Labor Organization (ILO) and EC. We do not consider such situation as a normal one and are ready for undertaking concrete actions to normalize this relationship. We are ready to begin the constructive cooperation with the Government, employers’ organizations and the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus”--- is said in the BKDP letter sent to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection on the eve of the forthcoming meeting.
Specifically, Alexander Yaroshuk is going to discuss with Vladimir Potupchik the issues of the BKDP participation in the work of the tripartite National Council on labor and social affairs and signing of the General Agreement. Moreover, the agenda of the meeting includes the discussion of the ways and possibilities of undertaking common and coordinated actions of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the BKDP aimed at fulfilling the ILO Recommendations and establishing cooperation with the International Labor Office.
