BKDP COUNCIL HAS DISCUSSED ACTIONS ON WORLD DAY FOR DECENT WORK
On World Day for Decent Work October 07 the BKDP will organize roundtable on the theme:”What does decent work imply? Its main criteria and how it is ensured in Belarus”. Such was the decision of the BKDP Council taken September 24
The BKDP Council members supported the decisions of Free Metalworkers’ Union (SPM) and Belarusian Free Trade Union (SPB) to organize picketing on this day in different towns of Belarus and recommended the rest BKDP affiliates to shape the format of their actions on WDDW to be run on the ground.
We shall recall that the World Day for Decent Work is marked annually throughout the world on the initiative of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). On this day the ITUC calls on to express solidarity and to unite efforts of all those who advocate the interests of workers on our globe.
The BKDP has been the ITUC affiliate since 2003. Last year the BJKDP organized a rally in Minsk which was attended by all its affiliates: Belarusian Independent Union (BNP), Belarusian Free Trade Union (SPB), Free Metalworkers’ Union (SPM) and Belarusian Radio and Electronic Industry Workers’ Union (REP).
