REAL GROSS MONTHLY WAGES IN JANUARY HAVE DROPPED BY 13%
With reference to National Statistics Committee the BelaPAN agency informs that real salaries and wages in Belarus in January 2011 have dropped by 12, 9% as compared with December 2010.
Real gross wages (increase of consumer prices for goods and services was taken into account) in January 2011 compared to the same period of the last year increased by 27,2%.
Average monthly nominal wages of workers in Belarus in January 2011 amounted to 1 409.6 million rubles, and compared to December of 2010 have dropped by 11.7% or 186.2 thousand rubles.
The average monthly wages in January 2011 amounted:
- at industrial enterprises amounted to 1 526.5 million rubles
- in construction companies - 1 million 610.7 thousand,
- in transport and communication - 1 million 590.2 thousand,
- agriculture, hunting and forestry sector - 952.4 thousand
- in health care and social services - 1 million 217.9 thousand, including health care - 1 million 243.7 thousand rubles.
The average salary for doctors was 2 million 122.2 thousand, nurses and junior medical personnel - 1 million 196.6 thousand rubles.
In educational institutions, the average salary amounted to 1 million 178.1 thousand, including teachers - 1 million 410.9 thousand, higher-education teaching personnel - 2 million 46,8 thousand rubles.
The maximum average salary in January in separate sectors of science and science supporting institutions amounted to 1 million 838 thousand rubles, while the minimal wages were recorded in agriculture, hunting and forestry sectors and amounted to 952 thousand rubles.
The maximum average salary in January was marked in Minsk - 1 million 843.4 thousand rubles, the minimal - in Brest region - 1 million 248.6 thousand rubles.
The average salary In Vitebsk amounted to 1 million 284 thousand rubles,
in Gomel region - 1 million 356.7 thousand,
in Grodno - 1 million 253.8 thousand,
in Minsk city - 1 million 358.8 thousand,
in Mogilev region - 1 million 279.5 thousand rubles.
