Chairman of the Independent Trade Union at Naftan Olga Britikova convicted for the fifth time in a row

    As human rights activists report, on April 27, the court in Novopolotsk sentenced Olga Britikova, the head of the independent trade union at Naftan, to 15 days of imprisonment for the fifth time in a row. Olga will spend in custody 75 days in total.

    The fifth trial was initiated under a protocol drawn up against Olga Britikova under Article 24.23 of the Code of Administrative Offenses; she was charged with unauthorized picketing. In previous four cases, Olga was tried for anti-war actions.

    Olga Britikova is being kept in custody in the detention center in Ushachi.
