Detentions and searches continue at factories

On Tuesday morning, Natalya Vusko, an engineer of OJSC Naftan, was arrested at the workplace by the State Security Commity officers. The reason for the arrest and the status of the colleagues are unknown.

Aleksandr Bolonkin, a design engineer of OJSC Naftan, who was arrested on September 27, 2021, has been released after searches at his workplace and at home. He is the deputy chairman of the primary organization of the Belarusian Independent Trade Union (BNP) at the factoty.

Workers say that pressure on members of independent trade unions continues. People are intimidated with penalties and non-renewal of contracts.
