The number of people employed in the economy continues to decrease

According to the National Statistical Committee, 4,264.7 thousand people were employed in the economy of the Republic of Belarus in October 2021.

This number, in itself, does not say anything if not compared with previous levels of employment.

In 2013, the number of people employed in the economy was 4578.4 thousand people, in 2016 – 4405.7 thousand, in 2019 – 4334.2 thousand.

A decrease in the number of people employed in the economy can be observed on a monthly basis. So, in June 2021, 4267.6 thousand people were employed in the economy, while in May – 4271.8 thousand.
